The Canadian Christmas tree growers association (CCTGA) is the umbrella group of Canada's provincial Christmas tree associations

General Christmas Tree Statistics
Canada Harvests approximately 5.5 million Christmas trees annually
Canada exported 2.25 million Christmas trees in 2006
Total value of 2006 Christmas tree exports (wholesale value): $35 million dollars
There were 2 933 Christmas tree farms in Canada in 2001
Over 37 600 hectares (82 700 acres) were under cultivation for Christmas trees in 2001 in Canada
 
Canadian Christmas tree plantation produce oxygen and clean air as well as absorbing carbon from the air
Christmas trees are one of the crops that can be grown under power lines
Christmas trees growing under power lines in the BC Rockies where vegetation is kept under strict provincial control. This is a great use of otherwise marginal lands
